2 year agoRadfordFire is still burning towards the north & west approx a mile south of Snow Summit. Lots of embers getting kicked up towards the ridgeline. The fire has not crossed 2N10 at this time. Photo from Hwy 38 looking north, Baldwin Lake to the SW and Snow Summit looking south

2 year agoRadfordfire seen from Snow Summit. San Bernardino Co. Fire BC was just observing, and two hotshots in a side by side just zipped up the slopes. Fire is still well away and the glow makes it look closer than actual. But it does appear to be staying fairly active tonight
2 year agoAir Attack currently overhead of the Radford Fire is estimating 150 acres burned at this time. Winds have turned from the southeast. Fire's making a good push upslope towards the northwest, in the direction of the backside of Snow Summit. Getting additional flare ups-torching

2 year agoFairviewFire several homes destroyed and two bodies found. Shot fire b-roll for the other ABC7 crew. Heading down the hill to meet up with them and handing of my video.

2 year agoFairviewfire night water dropping helicopters are in route to the fire. Operations is stating the fire is starting to lay down and activity has slowed
FairviewFire (S/O ValleVista, Riverside Co) - FireWatch 76 - the Quick Reaction Force HelCo is arriving over the fire area, will be doing an updated perimeter (not sure if we'll get) + atleast 1 QRF Helitanker is being assigned
While ground crews continue to fight the fire, aircrews had to stop for the night. Officials say an estimated 5,000 structures are threatened
2 year agoRadford (Big Bear) Fire . At 7:15pm Air Attack revised the acreage from 150 down to 75 with 0% containment. Due to darkness, all aircraft are off the fire but we are hoping for a nighttime helicopter. Fire continues to burn with some spotting

2 year agoRadfordFire (3 miles S/O BigBearLake, San Bernardino NF) - SBNF updated to 200 acres, 0% contained earlier. Night copter ordered & priority for it will be the left flank which may run up to the ski resort area tonight (unspecified which, there are a couple above the fire)
