3 year agoTwo clips of the tsunami. Geolocated them to a shoreline community on the outskirts of Tonga's capital, Nuku'alofa, less than 50 miles south of the volcano. First view faces west, low sun matches the time too

3 year agoTsunami observation update: A Tsunami is occurring. Remember- the first wave may not be that largest. Move away from the shore and head to high ground
3 year ago7:50am at Windansea - the beach is taken over by water but it's mainly because of high surf and high tide. So it's hard to tell any impacts of a tsunami wave at this beach except the overall high levels of water. There are a lot of people here watching, they likely got the alert

3 year agoThe plot shows water level data from Honolulu, Hawaii. It indicates that the tsunami continues to impact the Hawaiian islands at least 7 hours after initial arrival. Expect a similar, long duration event along our coast and bays today

Berkeley police: People living in the Marina or the area of need to evacuate immediately. The Berkeley Fire Department has ordered a mandatory evacuation in the Marinia area or those living in the area due to Tsunami warning. 2-3 feet waves are due around 7:30 AM
