Command of the Hazen Fire has been transferred to AZDFFM this evening on May 2. The fire is burning in salt cedar in the Gila River bottom to the east of State Highway 85, south of W. Hazen Rd. Current size is estimated at 273 acres and is 0% contained.
The HazenFire has burned at least 275 acres near Buckeye, Ariz. The brush fire has shut down the northbound lanes of SR-85 for the 'foreseeable future'. Crews have contained all but one side of the fire.
