8 month agoMcKinneyFire (Klamath NF, Siskiyou Co) - Doing structure prep along Hwy 96. IC reporting they have no intel on what the south, west or east sides of the fire are doing. Last I heard, the fire station on Oak Knoll was still standing, due to just annual grasses being around it
8 month agoChina2Fire/EvansFire (E/O Happy Camp, Klamath NF) - There are now evacuation orders & warnings on Zonehaven for these fires that are west of the McKinney evacs (presumed to be anyway, given locations)
8 month agoThere is also a couple of other fires in Klamath NF in the Seiad area east of Happy Camp: one @ China Peak: 30 acres, one @ Evans Peak. No radio traffic on these on the feeds due to the other incident.

8 month agoHighwayFire : 28 acres with aerial mapping. Fire holding in current perimeter. 2 homes and 1 outbuilding destroyed. Aircraft released. Crews will work through the night to secure perimeter and mop up. Investigation ongoing
